Best winery for your Barossa photo shoot

For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted a winery wedding. Everything about them seems so beautiful.

Endless views of rolling hills, the bright open sky, crisp fresh air. Wineries really are the perfect wedding venues. However, I am not getting married anytime soon. That said, I still would very much love to head to some of my favourite wineries for an awesome Instagram worthy photo shoot.

Seppeltsfield

There is no more iconic place to say I Do than at the stunning Seppeltsfield winery. With over 420 acres of vineyards, gardens and heritage buildings the views are unparalleled. With so much land available, there are multiple shoot locations just begging for you to find them. If you have your heart set on a picture-perfect outdoor shot, why not head to the Wisteria Gazebo? The natural backdrop is perfect for bright images, and the bright wisteria blooms bring pops of purple to the green scene.
If you can, head inside to the Seppeltsfield Vintage Cellar. The 1920 cellar oozes rustic charm and beautiful fortified wine barrels line the cellars walls. The cellar is the perfect blank canvas for your dreams, deck it out in your style to meet your desires.

Chateau Tanunda

Take some gorgeous glamour shots in the 1890s Chateau Tanunda. As the Barossa’s oldest and largest chateau there is really no comparison. Built on the highest point of the property the chateau has stunning views across the Barossa ranges. Rolling vineyard hills will welcome you while the sun beams down and warms you face. High roofs with exposed beams and original floorboards will beckon your guests into the country-feel chateau.
There are four indoor areas you should try to visit. From the Grand Ballroom to the Barossa Ranges Terrace, you’re sure to look stunning. Afterwards, frolic through the gardens and enjoy the never-ending views of this magnificent escape.

Peter Lehmann Wines

Head down to Peter Lehmann wines to the Old Redemption. Situated behind the historic Cellar Door, Old Redemption has stunning sweeping views of the Barossa.
Look out over rolling hills and gum trees and enjoy the warm Barossa air on your skin. Sit down for a picnic on the lawns for the perfect candids. Or, visit during one of their awesome events for decorated parkland and outdoor festivities.

Explore for yourself

So, while I can’t help you find a partner or organise a wedding, I do know a thing or two about great photo shoot locations!
All the wineries I’ve listed above are available for a visit on the Barossa Valley Wine Tours, departing from Adelaide, are run through Last Minute Day Tours. You’ll be chauffeured around by a driver so you can enjoy as many tastings as you like and will have ample time at each stop to get a few Insta perfect pics before leaving. You might even be able to twist your driver’s arm to take a group picture or two.
